MADE IN BLENDER

This project features a collection of 3D-rendered plush-style characters, including Sleefy, Scorattle, and Bubbily. Each character was designed to replicate the aesthetic of real plush toys, combining a soft, tactile appearance with vibrant, stylized designs. The goal was to create charming and toy-like creatures while pushing the limits of realism and personality in a 3D medium.

MY STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS

This project features a collection of 3D-rendered plush-style characters, including Sleefy, Scorattle, and Bubbily. Each character was designed to replicate the aesthetic of real plush toys, combining a soft, tactile appearance with vibrant, stylized designs. The goal was to create charming and toy-like creatures while pushing the limits of realism and personality in a 3D medium.

1

Modeling

Each model was sculpted in Blender, emphasizing clean topology and exaggerated proportions to match the plush aesthetic. The characters were designed with rounded shapes and soft curves to enhance their "huggable" appearance.

2

Texturing

I focused on achieving a realistic, fuzzy texture using procedural materials in Blender. The characters feature a combination of realistic plush fabric and bold, cartoonish color palettes to bring their personalities to life.

3

Lighting

A carefully calibrated three-point lighting setup was used to highlight the soft textures and vibrant colors. The backgrounds were designed to complement the characters' tones, reinforcing their cheerful and whimsical nature.
